MS Labs is the premier manufacturer of Megasquirt-based ECUs. We have a strong focus on providing advanced functionality on our ECUs, even on our value-series product. Each ECU we manufacture is constantly updated, usually going through 4-5 hardware revisions each year.
Unlike all other manufacturers, we approach the Megasquirt community by listening. All our ECUs are made on the promise of fulfilling the actual needs and addressing real-world problems, while adding useful features, without making any sacrifices or adding a hefty price tag.
All our ECUs are designed from the ground up, built in-house, fully inspected on functionality and on all inputs/outputs.
All components are SMD for enhanced reliability and reduced weight. We use Panasonic solid state capacitors wherever aluminum electrolytic capacitors are required.
All enclosures are made from extruded 6063 T6 aluminum and are hard anodized. These units are built to last a lifetime.
What does the future hold? We've got numerous projects we're working on besides improving our current ECUs. Including groundbreaking stuff such as CAN Bus expanders, adding more plug and play models, bending time and exploring parallel universes (just kidding there!).
Adding to our first ECU (the Enhanced MS2), the Basic MS2 and the Basic MS3 are now also available. Setting the trend once again, the Basic MS3 is the first plug and play MS3 available for the Mazda Miata/MX-5!
After several upgrades to the ECU in our car (including an upgrade to an MS2 and fully standalone), we have started shipping the first ECUs to customers! The Enhanced MS2 is the first plug and play MS2 ECU to become available for the Mazda Miata/MX-5.
After running for about 2 months with the injector and ignition output still controlled by the stock ECU, this day was much celebrated as fuel control was passed over to the Megasquirt-I. This is the first 99-05 (NB+NBFL/Mk2+Mk2.5) Mazda Miata/MX-5 to run on a Megasquirt!
Bought an MS1 for a parallel install on our 2002 Mazda Miata, thus the begining of a long journey...
We have come a long way since we first started producing our Megasquirt-based ECUs. It wouldn't have been possible without the support from our customers
True support goes both ways - this has been essential in our growth. we have gone to extreme lengths to support our customers, and our customers have been supporting us when they needed a new ECU for a new project!
